Product Overview
Karvil Machinery recently delivered a complete, turnkey powder processing solution to a prominent food ingredient manufacturer in France. Designed specifically for blending Isomalt (Crystalline Sugar) and Inulin, this production line meets strict European food safety standards.
The Challenge: Isomalt is hygroscopic and fragile, while Inulin is a fine powder. The challenge was to mix them intimately without destroying the crystal structure of the Isomalt, while ensuring the equipment is easy to clean to prevent cross-contamination.
The Solution: Our engineers designed a full SS304 line featuring a 1000L Ribbon Blender with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and U-shaped Screw Conveyors. This configuration allows for gentle mixing at low speeds (protecting the crystals) and easy access for daily cleaning.

1. 1000L Horizontal Ribbon Blender
The WLLDH-1000 is engineered for precision food processing:
- Siemens Motor & VFD Control: Features a 7.5kW Siemens Beide Motor with adjustable speed (0-46 r/min). The VFD allows gentle mixing to protect fragile materials like Isomalt crystals.
- GMP Sanitary Design: Constructed entirely of Food Grade SS304. The interior is Mirror Polished (Ra < 0.4µm) to eliminate dead corners and ensure easy cleaning.
- Leak-Proof Sealing: Equipped with durable PTFE Packing Seals and a sanitary DN150 Manual Butterfly Valve for quick, residue-free discharge.
2. Material Handling: U-Shape Screw Conveyors
To automate the workflow, the line connects via two stainless steel screw conveyors (2.2m for feeding and 3m for discharge).
- Easy-Clean Design: Unlike tubular conveyors which are hard to clean, our U-Shape design comes with a fully openable cover. This is critical for sticky or sugar-based materials, allowing operators to pressure wash or wipe down the screw blades easily.
- Full SS304: From the screw flight to the casing, every part contacting the product is stainless steel 304.
3. The Final Step: Automatic Packing Machine
The process concludes with the LN-H2560-P Automatic Weighing and Packing Machine.
- Inner Bucket Weighing: This system weighs the powder in an internal hopper before dropping it into the bag, ensuring high accuracy and speed.
- Sewing Sealing System: Designed for woven or kraft paper bags, the integrated industrial sewing head provides a strong, secure closure suitable for transport and storage.

Q1: My material is fragile (like Isomalt crystals). Will the mixer break the particles?
A: No, it will not. We specifically designed this line with a 7.5kW Siemens Beide Motor and a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). This allows you to adjust the mixing speed from 0 to 46 r/min. By running at a lower RPM, the ribbon blender provides a gentle kneading action that ensures a homogeneous mix without damaging the crystal structure of sensitive ingredients like Isomalt or sugar.
Q2: Why do you use U-Shape Screw Conveyors instead of Tubular ones?
A: Hygiene and maintenance. For food powders—especially sticky ones like sugar or inulin—cleaning is critical.
Unlike tubular conveyors which are difficult to clean inside, our U-Shape Screw Conveyors feature a fully openable cover. Your operators can easily open the lid to wash down the screw blades and casing, ensuring 100% GMP compliance and preventing cross-contamination.
Q3: Is this machine fully compliant with Food Safety Standards?
A: Absolutely. Every part that touches your product is made of high-quality Stainless Steel 304.
