F.A.Q.
1. How do you prevent cross-contamination between different spice batches?
A: Cross-contamination is a major concern, especially with allergens or pungent spices (like curry vs. vanilla).
Our Solution: We use a CIP (Clean-In-Place) system combined with a fully polished SS304 interior. The smooth surface finish (Ra < 0.8μm) ensures no powder residue gets trapped in welds or corners. The CIP spray nozzles allow for a thorough washout between batch changes without disassembling the mixer.
2. Can this system handle powders that contain oil or moisture (e.g., Curry or Bakery Mixes)?
A: Yes. Many spice blends contain added oils or have high fat content, which can cause "caking."
Technical Approach: The Ribbon Blender is ideal for this. Its high-shear mixing action breaks down lumps effectively. For the packaging stage, our Double Auger Filler ensures that sticky powders are pushed through consistently, preventing clogging that often happens with gravity-based fillers.
3. How do you control dust in the production area?
A: Airborne dust is a safety and hygiene risk.
Design: Our line uses fully enclosed storage hoppers and sealed soft connections between the mixer, hoppers, and packing machine. The packaging machine is also equipped with a dust extraction outlet that can be connected to your factory’s central dust collection system to keep the workspace clean.
4. Is the stainless steel Food Grade certified?
A: Absolutely. All contact parts are manufactured from Stainless Steel 304 (or SS316 upon request). This meets both EU Food Safety Regulations and FDA standards. We also use food-grade silicone for all gaskets and seals, ensuring no chemical leaching into your product.
5. How does the machine handle varying bulk densities?
A: Food powders vary greatly in density (e.g., fluffier starch vs. dense salt).
Operation: The Servo-driven Auger Filler is the key here. It doses based on volume and rotation. By adjusting the servo parameters, you can maintain accurate weights even if the powder density changes slightly. The 3x Buffer Hoppers also help stabilize the product density before it reaches the filler.
6. Does the mixing process generate heat that could damage the spices?
A: Spices are heat-sensitive; excess heat can destroy volatile oils and aroma.
Performance: The Ribbon Blender is a low-heat mixing technology. It moves the material gently but efficiently. Unlike high-speed hammer mills or plow mixers, the ribbon blender minimizes friction heat, preserving the flavor profile of your spices.
