This 5L Laboratory Sigma Kneader is built for high-viscosity polymer trials where cleanliness and temperature control are critical. Unlike standard mixers, this unit features a full SS304 stainless steel body with a mirror-polished interior, ensuring material doesn’t stick to the walls and making cleanup between batches simple.
We have equipped it with a 1.5kW Siemens Innomotics motor and a specialized Zero-Distance Heating system, which transfers heat directly to the chamber wall for faster, more even temperature rise. For the discharge phase, the integrated screw extruder pushes the sticky polymer out automatically, eliminating the need for manual scraping.

Hygienic SS304 Design: Every part of the machine, including the support frame and mixing chamber, is made from Stainless Steel 304. The internal surfaces are mirror-polished (Ra < 0.4µm) to meet strict laboratory sanitary standards.
Direct "Zero-Distance" Heating: Instead of a traditional oil jacket, electric heating elements are placed in direct contact with the mixing trough. This improves thermal efficiency and speeds up the melting process for polymers.
Screw Discharge System: Once mixing is complete, simply reverse the screw (VFD controlled, 0-65rpm) to extrude the material. It handles sticky compounds easily and reduces operator workload.
Variable Speed Control: Both the Sigma blades (Fast: 0-42rpm / Slow: 0-35rpm) and the discharge screw are controlled by frequency inverters, giving you full control over shear rates and discharge flow.
Real-Time Monitoring: The top cover is fitted with two sight glasses. One includes a dedicated LED light, allowing you to clearly inspect the reaction status without opening the lid.
Reliable Drive System: Powered by a heavy-duty Siemens Innomotics motor for consistent torque and long operational life.
