Karvil Machinery has recently completed the production and shipment of a 500L stainless steel sigma kneader for a customer in Jordan.
The machine is designed for processing sugar paste, a high-viscosity food material that requires reliable kneading, controlled heating and efficient discharge.
For this project, the customer selected a fully stainless steel 304 construction, combined with dual motor drive, electric heating and screw discharge to meet the specific production requirements.
The 500L sigma kneader was customized according to the customer's material and production process.

The combination of a robust mixing system, temperature control and screw discharge makes this machine suitable for handling demanding high-viscosity food materials.
Sugar paste has a very different mixing behavior from free-flowing powders or low-viscosity liquids.
As the material becomes more concentrated, it can become sticky, dense and difficult to move inside conventional mixing equipment.
A sigma kneader uses two specially designed blades to continuously knead and fold the material inside the mixing chamber.
This working principle makes sigma kneaders particularly suitable for:
High-viscosity materials
Sticky materials
Dense pastes
Food pastes
Confectionery materials
Adhesives
Silicone compounds
Chemical pastes
For this Jordan project, the kneader was configured specifically around the characteristics of sugar paste.
For food processing applications, material selection is an important part of equipment design.
This 500L kneader uses stainless steel 304 for the machine construction and material-contact areas.
The stainless steel construction provides:
SS304 is widely used for food-processing equipment and provides a clean contact surface for food materials.
Stainless steel offers good resistance to corrosion and is suitable for many food-processing environments.
The smooth stainless steel surfaces can make cleaning and routine maintenance easier.
The robust stainless steel construction is designed for continuous industrial production.
For different food materials and process requirements, other stainless steel grades and surface finishes can also be considered.
One of the key configurations of this machine is the dual motor drive system.
High-viscosity materials can create considerable resistance during mixing. A dual-drive configuration provides the required power to operate the two mixing blades for demanding kneading applications.
The system is particularly useful when the material:
Has high viscosity
Is sticky or dense
Requires intensive kneading
Becomes more difficult to move during processing
Instead of simply selecting a motor based on mixer volume, Karvil engineers consider the material characteristics, viscosity, batch size and required mixing performance when configuring the drive system.
This 500L sigma kneader is also equipped with an electric heating system.
Temperature can have a significant effect on the processing behavior of sugar paste.
Controlled heating can help adjust the material temperature during mixing and improve process consistency.
The heating system can be configured according to the customer's required processing temperature and production process.
For other applications, Karvil can also provide different heating or cooling configurations depending on the process requirements.
After mixing, removing a high-viscosity paste from the kneader can be challenging.
For this reason, the Jordan customer selected a screw discharge system.
The screw mechanism helps move the processed material toward the outlet, making discharge more controlled and reducing the amount of manual material removal required.
This configuration is especially useful for:
High-viscosity pastes
Sticky materials
Dense mixtures
Food pastes
Materials that do not flow easily by gravity
For customers with different discharge requirements, Karvil can also provide other discharge configurations, including tilting discharge and customized outlet designs.
This project demonstrates an important part of Karvil Machinery's approach to industrial mixing equipment.
The mixer is designed around the material and process—not simply selected from a standard model.
Before equipment production, factors such as the following need to be considered:
Material characteristics
Viscosity
Batch size
Required production capacity
Mixing time
Heating requirements
Discharge behavior
Construction material
Cleaning requirements
Based on these factors, the appropriate mixer structure and configuration can be determined.
For this Jordan project, the final solution combines:
500L Capacity + SS304 Construction + Dual Motor Drive + Electric Heating + Screw Discharge
to meet the customer's sugar paste processing requirements.
Sigma kneaders can be configured for a wide range of food and high-viscosity food-processing applications.
Depending on the material and process, Karvil can provide customized kneading solutions for:
Sugar paste
Food pastes
Confectionery materials
Protein bar ingredients
Nut pastes
Dough-like materials
Other high-viscosity food products
The exact mixer configuration should be selected based on the characteristics of the material and the customer's production process.
Karvil Machinery is not limited to supplying standard sigma kneaders.
We provide customized industrial mixing equipment according to customer requirements, including:
Different working volumes
Stainless steel construction
Heating and cooling
Vacuum operation
Different blade configurations
Screw discharge
Tilting discharge

For larger food-processing projects, the kneader can also be integrated with other equipment to create a more complete production system.
After production and inspection, the 500L stainless steel sigma kneader was prepared for shipment to the customer's facility in Jordan.
The project is another example of Karvil Machinery's ability to provide application-specific mixing equipment for international customers.
