• Sigma mixer is also known as the z blade mixer or sigma kneader mixer, which is used for kneading, and mixing of high-viscosity materials. Sigma mixer is employed across diverse industries, including chemical, pharmaceuticals and food, due to its ability to effectively mix materials with high viscosities such as silicone rubber, adhesive, graphite and chewing gum.

Sigma Mixer Working Principle

Sigma mixer mainly uses two Sigma-shaped blades to rotate or in opposite directions in the chamber to shear, squeeze, stir, flip the material, so as to achieve the purpose of uniform mixing.

• The two Sigma blades usually run at different speeds (one fast and one slow) to produce a strong shear zone.

• Combined with jacket heating/cooling, vacuum degassing, frequency conversion speed regulation, flip cylinder discharge and other systems,  control of the material can be achieved.

• Under vacuum state, bubbles can be effectively removed, oxidation can be prevented, and product density and uniformity can be improved.
