We are proud to announce the successful manufacturing and testing of our latest customized equipment: a 300L Explosion-Proof Vacuum Sigma Kneader. This high-performance Z-blade mixer is currently being packaged and will soon be shipped to our long-term strategic partner in Romania.

Designed specifically for compounding Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) and adding high-density fillers, this machine represents our commitment to providing safe, efficient, and heavy-duty mixing solutions for the rubber and chemical industries.

⚠️ The Challenge: Mixing High-Viscosity NBR Safely

Mixing Nitrile Rubber (NBR) with complex fillers presents several engineering challenges. The extreme viscosity generates massive frictional heat during the kneading process, which can lead to premature curing or "scorching" of the rubber. Furthermore, when working with solvent-based additives or volatile materials, standard mixers pose significant safety risks. Our Romanian client required a machine that could handle these extreme physical demands while strictly adhering to European safety standards.

Our Solution: The 300L Complete EX-Proof Mixing System

To meet these rigorous demands, our engineering team custom-built a 300L double-arm sigma mixer equipped with top-tier safety and temperature control features:

1. 100% Explosion-Proof Security
Safety is non-negotiable. This kneader is fully equipped with an EX-proof system, featuring a robust 30KW - 4 Pole EX-proof motor from Beide (a Siemens brand). The vacuum system, mold temperature controller, and oil chiller are all strictly explosion-proof, ensuring absolute safety in hazardous workshop environments.

2. Smart Operational Safety
To protect operators, we integrated an automatic safety limit switch. If the top cover is opened during operation, the heavy-duty double Sigma blades will instantly stop rotating, completely eliminating the risk of mechanical injury.

3. Masterful Temperature Control (Heating & Cooling)
Controlling the temperature of NBR is critical. We designed a highly efficient jacketed cylinder for thermal oil circulation. What sets this system apart is the inclusion of an independent EX-proof Thermal Oil Heater (Mold Temperature Controller) and an EX-proof Oil Chiller. This allows operators to rapidly heat up or cool down the material, maintaining precise temperature control to prevent material degradation.

4. Zero Dead Corners & Zero Leakage

  • Mirror Polish: All contact parts (cylinder, blades, and top cover) are manufactured from premium SUS304 Stainless Steel and subjected to high-grade mirror polishing. This ensures the sticky rubber compound does not adhere to the walls, making discharge and cleaning incredibly easy.

  • PTFE Shaft Sealing: We utilize an easy-to-replace composite stuffing box with PTFE packing and PTFE seals, ensuring high vacuum retention and zero material leakage.

Scale Up From R&D to Production

Understanding that formula testing is the first step to successful manufacturing, we also offer this exact same configuration in a 3L Lab-Scale version. Our clients can perfect their NBR formulations in the lab using the 3L model and seamlessly scale up to the 300L production model without losing any technical consistency.
