Karvil has completed a customized 3000L SS316 horizontal ribbon mixer line for a customer in France. Designed for blending fine powders used in water treatment products, aquaculture treatment agents and other industrial formulations, this project demonstrates our ability to supply integrated powder mixing and packaging solutions.
The system combines a large-capacity ribbon mixer, screw conveyors and packaging equipment to support a more streamlined powder production process.
A Customized Powder Mixing Solution for France
Different powder formulations require different approaches to mixing, conveying and packaging. For this project, the customer needed a complete equipment configuration for processing fine and relatively fragile powders.
Karvil configured the line around the customer's material handling requirements, incorporating SS316 stainless steel contact surfaces, variable-speed mixing and dedicated conveying and discharge equipment.
The solution is designed to connect the main production stages, from powder feeding and blending to discharge and packaging.
Key Features of the 3000L Ribbon Mixer Line
1. SS316 Stainless Steel Construction
The horizontal ribbon mixer features SS316 material-contact surfaces, a mirror-polished interior and a brushed exterior. This configuration supports corrosion resistance and easier cleaning, depending on the material and cleaning conditions.
2. 3000L Total Capacity
The mixer has a total volume of 3000L and an effective working capacity of 1800L. Its 22 kW Siemens Beide motor and variable-frequency drive allow the mixing speed to be adjusted from 0 to 27 rpm.
3. Integrated Screw Conveyors
Two SS316 screw conveyors are included in the configured line to support powder feeding and material transfer. The mixer also features a bottom-side screw discharge arrangement with a pneumatic butterfly valve.
4. Flexible Powder Packaging
The specified packaging equipment includes a screw-valve bagging machine for 5–50 kg bags and a separate packaging machine covering 380 g–10,000 g packs. The final packaging configuration can be selected according to product format and production requirements.
