US Customer Orders 3000L Explosion-Proof Sigma Kneader for Adhesive Processing
Publish Time: 2026-09-16 Origin: Site
Karvil Machinery has recently completed the production and factory testing of a 3000L full explosion-proof vacuum sigma kneader for a customer in the United States.
The machine was engineered for processing adhesive and other high-viscosity materials, where strong kneading, temperature control, vacuum processing and reliable discharge are important.
This project combines several key configurations in one heavy-duty sigma mixer, including heavy-duty sigma blades, vacuum processing, jacket cooling, an external water chiller and screw discharge.
A Customized Sigma Kneader for a US Customer
The US customer required a large-capacity mixer capable of handling demanding adhesive materials.
Instead of using a standard mixing configuration, Karvil designed the machine around the customer's specific process requirements.
The result is a 3000L industrial sigma kneader with a complete explosion-proof configuration and multiple process functions integrated into one machine.
Key Configuration
Customer: USA
Machine: 3000L Sigma Kneader
Application: Adhesive & high-viscosity materials
Design: Full explosion-proof configuration
Mixing: Heavy-duty sigma blades
Process: Vacuum mixing
Cooling: Jacket + external water chiller
Discharge: Screw discharge
Why Did the US Customer Choose a Sigma Kneader?
Adhesive materials can be difficult to process because they are often thick, sticky and highly cohesive.
A conventional mixer may not provide enough mechanical action or may have difficulty discharging the finished material.
A sigma kneader uses heavy-duty sigma blades to continuously fold, compress and knead the material inside the mixing chamber.
For this US project, the mixer was further equipped with vacuum, cooling and screw discharge systems to address the customer's complete processing requirements.
Heavy-Duty Blades for High-Viscosity Adhesives
The 3000L mixer uses heavy-duty sigma blades designed for demanding high-viscosity applications.
The blades generate strong kneading action as they rotate, repeatedly moving the material through the working chamber.
This design is suitable for materials that are too thick or sticky for conventional high-speed mixing equipment.
For the US customer's adhesive application, the heavy-duty blade system provides the mechanical force required for reliable batch processing.
Vacuum Processing for Adhesive Materials
The mixer is equipped with a vacuum system to support processing under reduced pressure.
High-viscosity materials can trap air during mixing. Depending on the formulation, removing entrapped air can be an important part of the production process.
The vacuum function allows the customer to combine kneading and vacuum processing in the same mixing chamber.
Jacket Cooling with External Water Chiller
High-viscosity mixing can generate heat during operation.
To help manage the processing temperature, this 3000L sigma kneader is equipped with a cooling jacket connected to an external water chiller.
The cooling system helps remove heat from the mixing chamber and maintain a more controlled processing environment for the adhesive material.
Screw Discharge for Sticky Materials
For high-viscosity adhesives, discharge performance is an important part of the mixer design.
Sticky materials may not flow easily through a conventional outlet.
The screw discharge system actively moves the finished material toward the outlet, providing controlled discharge after mixing.
This configuration is particularly useful when the processed material remains dense and cohesive after mixing.
Full Explosion-Proof Configuration
Safety was also an important consideration for this US customer project.
The mixer was manufactured with a full explosion-proof configuration based on the customer's application requirements.
Explosion protection involves more than simply selecting an explosion-proof motor. The electrical components, instrumentation and overall machine configuration need to be considered according to the actual operating environment.
Karvil can provide different explosion-proof configurations according to material characteristics and customer requirements.
Factory Testing Before Shipment to the USA
After manufacturing was completed, the 3000L sigma kneader was assembled and tested at the Karvil factory.
Factory testing gives the engineering team an opportunity to check the machine's main functions before shipment.
For this US customer project, the testing focused on the overall operation of the mixing system and the configured process functions.
The completed machine was then prepared for shipment to the United States.
