The lab scale vacuum sigma mixer with screw extrusion discharge customized by Karvil Machinery for Dow Chemical (USA) has been manufactured and passed the customer's online inspection and obtained high praise.
This Stainless Steel Lab Sigma Blade Mixer is used to produce butyl rubber for lab test. After discussion between Karvil engineers and Dow Chemical staff, combined with the production process of butyl rubber, the following technical parameters were determined:
Motor & Drive: 2.2 kW Siemens motor, ABB frequency inverter
Mixing System: Double sigma blades, mirror-polished chamber for efficient mixing of high-viscosity materials
Speed Range: Fast shaft 0–42 rpm / Slow shaft 0–35 rpm, adjustable by inverter control
Vacuum System: Pump, buffer tank, and metal hose for bubble-free mixing
Heating Method: Electric heating up to 230°C, ensuring stable temperature performance
Discharge System: Screw extrusion with DN40 manual ball valve, ideal for sticky and dense compounds
Construction: Full 304 stainless steel, mirror-polished contact surfaces, brushed external finish

This design enables mixing, vacuum degassing, heating, and extrusion discharge in one compact unit, making it ideal for rubber, elastomer, and polymer R&D.
