How Does a Ribbon Mixer Work?
1. Material Loading
Raw materials are fed into the horizontal mixing chamber through the top inlet. The mixer can handle different types of powders, granules, and additives.
2. Ribbon Rotation & Material Movement
When the motor drives the shaft, the inner and outer ribbons rotate at a controlled speed. The outer ribbon moves materials from both ends toward the center, while the inner ribbon pushes materials from the center toward the ends.
3. Uniform Mixing
The continuous axial and radial movement causes materials to circulate throughout the chamber, creating a homogeneous mixture with high efficiency.
4. Discharging
After reaching the required mixing time, the finished material is discharged through the bottom outlet. Different discharge options, such as pneumatic butterfly valves, slide gates, or screw discharge systems, are available depending on the application.
