Ribbon Mixer Working Principle

Horizontal ribbon blender is a widely used industrial mixing machine designed for the uniform blending of dry powders, granules, and light pastes. It consists of a U-shaped horizontal mixing chamber and a specially designed ribbon agitator that moves the materials in multiple directions to achieve a fast and homogenous mix.

The ribbon agitator is made up of an inner and outer helical ribbon. The outer ribbon moves materials from the ends to the center, while the inner ribbon pushes materials from the center to both ends. This counter-current movement creates a gentle yet thorough mixing action, ensuring consistent results even with fine or light-density powders.
