This 5L explosion-proof vacuum Sigma kneader is designed for small-batch processing, material development and specialty production applications.
The machine combines Sigma blade kneading, electric heating, vacuum processing and screw extrusion discharge in one compact system. The material-contacting parts are made of SS304 stainless steel with mirror-polished surfaces, providing a clean and durable processing environment.
With a 5L total volume and 3.5L effective working volume, this kneader is suitable for applications where the material value is high, the batch size is small, or precise process control is required.
The complete system is equipped with an explosion-proof main motor, explosion-proof screw motor, explosion-proof heating system, explosion-proof vacuum pump and explosion-proof control cabinet.

Sigma Mixer, also known as a Z Blade Mixer, Sigma Kneader or Kneader Mixer, is an industrial mixing machine designed for processing high-viscosity, dough-like, paste-like and semi-solid materials.
Unlike conventional agitator mixers, a Sigma Mixer uses two specially shaped Z-shaped Sigma blades to generate strong kneading, folding, compression and shearing forces. This makes it particularly suitable for materials that are difficult to process with standard mixing equipment.
Sigma Mixers are widely used in the silicone rubber, adhesives, polymers, chemicals, composites, ceramics, insulation materials, food and specialty materials industries.
Karvil Machinery provides Sigma Mixers in different capacities and configurations, including heating, cooling, vacuum, explosion-proof systems and different discharge methods, allowing the equipment to be matched to specific material and production requirements.
The machine is equipped with explosion-proof motors, electrical components, heating and vacuum equipment, together with a dedicated explosion-proof control cabinet.
The jacket uses thermal oil as the heating medium, with a total explosion-proof heating power of 2.4 kW, designed for heating temperatures up to 160°C.
An explosion-proof vacuum pump, buffer tank and metal flexible hose are included. The vacuum system can achieve a vacuum level of up to -0.09 MPa.
Two Sigma blades provide strong compression, folding and shearing forces for high-viscosity and difficult-to-mix materials.
The integrated screw extrusion system provides controlled discharge of high-viscosity materials through a DN50 manual ball valve.
With a 3.5L effective working volume, the machine is ideal for R&D, process development, laboratory-scale production and small-batch specialty materials.
The machine uses two Z-shaped sigma blades rotating inside the mixing chamber.
During operation, the blades continuously lift, fold, compress and shear the material. This creates strong kneading forces that are particularly effective for high-viscosity and semi-solid materials.
At the same time, the electric heating jacket transfers heat to the mixing chamber to bring the material to the required processing temperature.
When vacuum processing is required, the mixing chamber is evacuated to remove trapped air, moisture and volatile components.
After the mixing process is completed, the screw discharge mechanism pushes the material toward the outlet for controlled discharge.
