Designed and manufactured for a US customer, this 500L horizontal ribbon mixer is built to blend plastic pellets with mineral oil. The SS316 stainless steel construction, variable-speed mixing system, and controlled bottom discharge provide a customized solution for industrial solid-liquid mixing applications.
All specified product-contact components are made of SS316 stainless steel. The internal surfaces are mirror-polished, while the exterior features a brushed finish for a clean industrial appearance.
The 7.5 kW WEG motor is specified for the customer's 208V, 60Hz, three-phase power supply. A variable-frequency drive enables adjustable mixing speed from 0 to 46 rpm.
The lid features pneumatic-assisted opening, a dust collector, and a safety mesh. The safety interlock is configured to stop the mixer when the lid is open and the safety mesh is not correctly positioned.
A DN150 manual butterfly valve allows the mixed material to discharge from the bottom of the trough. The discharge outlet is positioned approximately 550 mm above floor level.

The horizontal ribbon mixer uses inner and outer ribbons to create continuous material movement inside the mixing chamber.
As the ribbons rotate, material moves both along the length of the mixer and across the working area. This helps distribute different powder ingredients throughout the batch.
Before shipment, we engineers inspect the mixer and test the main functions to ensure that the equipment meets the agreed specifications.
For this US project, the 500L ribbon mixer was configured with SS316 product-contact components, a WEG UL-certified motor, variable-speed control, pneumatic-assisted lid opening, dust collection, and manual bottom discharge.
