Multi-layer SS316L mixing blades operate at adjustable speeds of 5–50 rpm. The configuration supports controlled mixing of viscous and resin-based materials.
Two 30 kW explosion-proof motors are specified for the high-speed dispersion system, with a maximum speed of 1,500 rpm. The two toothed dispersion discs help provide intensive local dispersion when matched to the material and process requirements.
A specified explosion-proof vacuum pump, buffer tank and connecting pipes support vacuum operation down to -0.09 MPa gauge pressure. Vacuum performance should be verified against the actual material, sealing conditions and process requirements.
The mixing vessel includes a retained heating jacket designed for a stated pressure of up to 2 bar. Jacket inlet and outlet connections are DN25. A separate temperature sensor monitors the material, while another monitors the heat-transfer medium.
The vessel, mixing blades, dispersion discs and press plate use SS316L as specified. The vessel's internal and external surfaces are mirror-polished to support process hygiene and cleaning requirements.
The hydraulic system raises and lowers the mixing assembly. A separate press plate is specified for assisting the discharge of suitable flowable materials. Its suitability depends on viscosity, solids content and the material's flow behavior.
Every mixing process has its own requirements. Material viscosity, batch size, temperature range, vacuum level and discharge behavior all influence the final equipment configuration.

Can the mixer process viscous and resin-based materials?
The planetary mixing and high-speed dispersion systems can be configured for a range of viscous and resin-based materials. Final suitability depends on rheology, solids content, mixing torque and process testing.
What is the benefit of combining planetary mixing and high-speed dispersion?
Planetary mixing provides bulk material movement, while high-speed dispersion provides more intensive local mixing. The combination allows the two systems to address different mixing requirements within one vessel.
Is the mixing vessel suitable for vacuum processing?
The system is specified with an explosion-proof vacuum pump, buffer tank and connecting pipes, with a target vacuum level of -0.09MPa gauge pressure. Actual performance depends on sealing, material behavior and operating conditions.
Can Karvil customize the planetary mixer?
Yes. Karvil Machinery can discuss vessel capacity, mixing and dispersion tools, vacuum systems, temperature control, hydraulic discharge and electrical configurations according to project requirements.
Can this configuration be used for hazardous or energetic materials?
Suitability cannot be determined from mixer specifications alone. A formal review of material hazards, ignition risks, equipment certification, process containment and applicable regulations is required before confirming the application.
